Architectural
The beautiful effect of light shining through the textures and colours within our glass makes it perfect for use as glazing – such as window panes, door panes or a feature within an internal partition wall.
Unlike our tiles, which we make with a special opaque backing to help them adhere to the wall, we can supply the panels without this – so you can enjoy the pattern from either side.
We offer a bespoke design service and can produce glazing panels in any size up to 1m x 1.5m.
If your proposed use and position of a panel means that the glass needs to meet safety standards, then we can supply the panel with lamination. This is where an extra sheet of glass has been bonded with a clear resin to the panel to give it strength. Our panels have been tested and confirmed as meeting Class C of BS6206 when laminated on one side. The lamination process does not adversely affect the appearance of the pattern in the glass.
Your architect should be able to inform you what standard of glass is required for any proposed glazing installation, but we have some knowledge of the Building Regulations for glazing and are happy to provide an informal level of advice.

A window panel made in our 'Lazio' style, to complement a cooker splashback we also made for the client.
The window is between the entrance hall and the kitchen, and the client wanted to maximise the light whilst giving a degree of privacy.

This panel measuring 1240mm x 230mm was commissioned by a private client to fit within their ceiling beams. The client wished to hide a fluorescent light which was already in-situ, whilst using it to make a feature. The property is a beautiful restored mill on the banks of a meandering stream, which influenced the design of the panel. The panel is shown here with the light off and on. |
