About THE DESIGNER

I am the founder and Creative Director of Rupert Scott.

I became hooked on glass in the early 1990s and went on to complete a glass degree at the University of Wolverhampton.

For me the beauty and fascination of glass lies in the interplay with light, and the illumination of the colour within. Even on a small scale such as a glass tile, I love the ability to look into the glass and see miniature galaxies of bubbles, vibrant colour and texture. I guess I’m just a colour junkie!

Developing the tile and splashback designs has been a great deal of fun, and I hope there is something here to appeal to everyone.

Glass Art
I design and oversee the production of all the Rupert Scott brand of tiles and splashbacks at my studio in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. From here I also produce a wide range of one-off art pieces, which include wall hangings and sculptural bowls.

Much of my work is bespoke, and in addition to the patterns illustrated on this website I can also be commissioned to produce a unique design for your splashback. I also produce one-off art pieces for commercial installations and public spaces.
